• Treated over 1,861,365 patients and performed over 210,766 sight restoration surgeries.
• Earlier, a 32 bed LRBT hospital on this site was built on land donated by the community.
• Serving a vast area from Dir and Chitral in the North to Mardan in the South, replacing very poor ophthalmic facilities in the region.

After the October 2005 earthquake, LRBT immediately set up an interim 10 bed eye hospital in Mansehra for the people affected by the disaster. 

• This hospital was developed into a permanent 40 bed hospital with full operating facilities.
• This hospital covers the entire Mansehra District, Batgram, Muzzafarabad, Abbotabad, Daggar and Haripur.
• Treating an average of 250 patients per day and 25 major and minor surgeries performed daily.

• Our newest purpose-built hospital in Chiniot opened in early 2019, with all activities transferred from a small clinic to a larger, purpose built hospital.
• Currently an average of 210 patients are treated each day, with about 25 surgeries performed daily. The hospital has daily capacity to treat up to 800 patients.

• The hospital commenced operation in 1999 as a 50 bed facility built on donated land.
• A larger waiting area, screening rooms and canteen facilities were constructed with the financial support of Shell Pakistan in 2007.
• Recently a new outpatients department has been added to provide for the increased number of patients while a surgical complex with allied services is being constructed.
• Serves eye patients from Multan, Muzzafargarh, Khanewal, Bahawalpur & D.G. Khan Districts.

• The hospital is built on land donated by Raja Aftab Saeed and Begum Asmat Fatima who have also funded the bulk of the cost of construction and is dedicated to the memory of their son Raja Ehteshamullah who died tragically in the World Trade Centre disaster in September 2001.
