Jamila’s husband works as a car mechanic and earns around Rs. 15,000 a month, which is just enough to covers their rent, living expenses and children’s school fees.
Jamila decided to help her husband out by teaching children how to recite the Quran. She was doing what she loved, besides added income, until recently she started to develop haziness in her vision. She was unable to continue her Quran Classes and was often irritated at her helplessness.
One of the women in her neighbourhood suggested that she visit the LRBT hospital nearby to get her eyes checked. She mentioned that it would be completely free of cost.
Jamila was doubtful but since she had nothing to lose she visited LRBT, where she was diagnosed with cataract and operated on free of charge. She was amazed that she did not have to pay for her treatment and her eyesight and her life is back to normal again.
There are many more like Jamila who come to LRBT’s hospitals and eye clinics daily and return to their homes with rejuvenated hope thanks to your donations!
