Samiya says sight is a blessing and LRBT Pakistan has helped her family to retain the eyesight of both her daughters, Fabiha and Fatima Noor, who were diagnosed with #Glaucoma.

When Samiya and her husband went to the doctor at a local clinic, they were told there is nothing to worry about as their daughter's eyes are weak. This, however, did not satisfy them as Fabiha’s eyesight was getting weaker day by day.

They brought her to LRBT for a check-up, where they were informed that she has Glaucoma, which is not a curable condition, but one that can be controlled and managed through timely treatment.

At LRBT, Fabiha underwent surgery, and she continues to come in for her regular check-ups. Her parents are relieved and happy that her condition is under control and stable.

However, on the birth of their second daughter Fatima Noor, there were signs that her vision was also affected. Samiya, being more equipped with the knowledge about the treatment of glaucoma, immediately brought her daughter to LRBT where she too was treated.

Fabiha and Fatima Noor's parents are thankful for the free treatment provided at LRBT for both of their daughters, as otherwise they would not have been able to afford their treatment.

"Don’t waste your time if you or your child have any eye issue, because timely diagnosis is really helpful for best results of any treatment," said Samiya. She says she is blessed to have connected with LRBT as the staff has been able to guide her and train her to deal with her daughters' condition through listening and answering her queries patiently.
