Against all adversity, an Eye Camp was recently held in a remote area of Balochistan, with the support and protection of the Pakistan army.
Due to the dangerous nature of the route and area, the army soldiers intermittently stopped to ensure adequate security was in place before moving forward.
Despite freezing temperatures of - 8 °C and basic facilities, our team, along with the armed forces, made this camp a huge success.
More than 500 patients were seen, 70 major surgeries were performed and a large quantity of medicines were distributed.
Thank you to our brave team for going through such hardships to ensure patients in even the most remote areas receive free high quality eye care.
PPE was kindly donated by Christian Blind Mission -CBM.
