In September 2020, we opened our 59th Primary Eye Care Clinic in the remote region of Gilgit, Northern Pakistan. Mighty mountain ranges and rugged terrains make for a harsh climate, by serving this community we will help provide access to healthcare in this stunning but remote region.
The clinic sees on average 70 patients a day from Gilgit and the surrounding area, providing free eye treatment. Patients requiring surgery are referred to our nearest hospital, LRBT Mansehra.
There was an overwhelming response on opening day as the area was in desperate need of an eyecare facility.
Transporation for patients is provided from the clinic to hospital by LRBT.
By donating £23, you can sponsor surgery for a patient in Gilgit.
